SELL SOME ICE TO ESKIMOS
Sales Director, Manager, Coordinator
This is NOT an entry-level position.
Can you sell ice to Eskimos? And then have them reorder? Are you exceptionally effective at planning? Are you an expert manager? Well, we need you.
The Sales Director will provide sales leads, leadership, and
direction in planning large and small-scale events and programs for
the automotive community. These events will drive buyers to large
outdoor auto events.
The Sales Director will work collaboratively with the marketing
department to oversee and implement event support including;
planning, budget management, promotional materials and logistical/
scheduling needs in order to execute successful and cost-conscious
events.
The Sales Director will need to organize and disseminate timely and
relevant information through event briefings, meetings and
electronic communication. This person will serve as the point person
for event-related questions from dealers, vendors and attendees. In
addition, this position must maintain clear and detailed project
plans including time lines, calendars, scheduling, etc. Must be able
to balance elements of complex event planning, both independently,
and collaboratively.
The right candidate will have excellent communication skills,
attention to detail mastered, a professional demeanor, be a great
manager and able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Experience in event planning with car sales is a plus. Must have
flexibility with scheduling including availability to work weekends
occasionally, and effectively manage both indoor and outdoor venues.
Responsibilities:
• Event planning and execution at all levels
• Building relationships within the auto dealer community
• Selling Marketing/Advertising packages
• Signing up dealers to participate in events
• Face to face prospecting
• Build, maintain and develop dealership accounts and contacts
• Use of a personal vehicle is required
• Possess strong communication skills
• Capture key information from clients and communicate to team and client effectively
Requirements
• Experience selling in a high-level environment
• College degree or equivalent work experience
• Outgoing personality
• Able to work weekends
• Self motivated and intense work ethic
• Advertising knowledge of all advertising mediums is a plus
• Even tempered
• Computer skills (Word, PPT, Email)
The right sales person should easily make 6 figures in commissions
annually.
Outside sales or previous marketing sales experience is mandatory.
